Before
you start, you may want to print and fill in this KWL
chart before/after every week as you go along.
It may help you organize your thoughts and reflection on your blog
later.
Step
1: Pre-chat
Take
some time before our chat to check out the collaborative projects/blogging
communities our guest speakers and moderators are involved in:
Anne Davies
Janet Lindsay
Aaron
Campbell
Barbara Dieu
Task Set #1:
Work
out what makes them successful, and take notice of any features
you find of particular interest. Write about this in your personal
weblog.
Make a note of any questions you'd like our guest speakers to address
in the wiki.
Step
2: E-PORTFOLIOS
Questions:
i) What are e-portfolios?
ii) How can they be of use to me and my classes?
iii) What relationship is there between blogs and e-portfolios?
Task Set #2
After
reading the articles on e-portfolios recommended above (and following
up as many of the referenced articles and sites as you can cope
with!), post the answers to the three questions posed above on your
personal blog.
Task Set #3
Go to some of the individual blogs of the people in your group and
read what they have to say about e-portfolios. Compare and write
comments.
