Peace
and environment depend on each other. For example, as water runs short,
it'll become rarer and rarer, thus more and more expensive. This may
cause disputes over its control and price which result in a war. Our
environment, natural and social is destroyed because the countries
are ravaged by the conflict. Political decisions sometimes are imposed
on people - like moving to different areas (like in India and Pakistan,
or Africa) which are not theirs, causing ethnic, political and social
problems. We could compare this to moving a plant to a different type
of soil or cutting its roots.
We
believe that nature is directly connected to all human beings. When
you interfere in it, hurt it or destroy it, your are doing the same
to yourself and to everyone around you because you depend on it to
survive. We can say that the environment is a collective matter and
we are all affected by someone's interference or devastation.
In
an ideal world we think people should give back to nature and society
all they have taken from it. In order to have an ideal world, where
there would be no environment destruction or wars, we should talk
to everyone we can to make them aware of the importance of respect
and preservation. And also we must prevent waste: waste of energy,
water and waste of human lives. If people were educated not to litter,
throw waste into the water our world would be much more agreable and
peaceful than it is. All of us must engage into action. Although we
are teenagers and sometimes we fell we cannot do much, each one has
his own part to play. We must stop accepting things as inevitable
and stop being indifferent to the problems of our planet. We must
act!
