As a member of the Praxis Community, I was invited to participate in the 1st International Education and Educational Technologies Meeting, sponsored by Fundação Bradesco.
The presenters, who will be also taking part of the 8th International E-learning Congress in Brazil the following days, are: Paula de Waal, from Padua, Italy; Kwanyoung Kim from South Korea; Masao Ishihara from Japan and Sonia Handa from India. I believe this will be an interesting event as it may give me an array of examples of what is considered best practice when using new technologies in education (and hopefully not only performance indicators but also the educational context/background and lessons learnt).
The event will take place at Estação Pinacoteca, the building that earlier housed the DOPS– infamous Department of Political and Social Order, where many students, journalists and educators who raised their voices against the 1964-1985 military regime were tortured (sometimes to death).
